Route description

Marles Wood is set about a mile east of Ribchester.  There is ample parking just by the river which is just a short walk down some steps.

This stretch of the River Ribble is absolutely stunning and some might argue it is the best for walking.

There is another route available where you would cross Dinkley Bridge and come back along the other side of the river, but today we came back up along the roads, which is also very nice.  Perfect for a summer evening stroll.
