Tim and Waj embark on a snowy walk up to Grit Fell and Clougha Pike.
Parking at Rigg Lane car park the top of Clougha looked frosty, but it wasn't possible to see just how deep the snow was up on the tops. Indeed, there was up to 3ft in some parts, and underneath the snow was the infamous Clougha Pike bogs - so it was difficult underfoot. However, the conditions were fantastic, cold, clear and excellent visibility.
Rigg Lane Car Park was busy with lots of people pottering about but after the shooter's tracks on Grit Fell there was not a sole to be seen. Perfect!
The same walk in less wintry conditions is here.
