Beacon Hill
The walk up to Beacon Hill starts in the Hamlet of Holden, which is near to Bolton-by-Bowland, and meanders along farm tracks until reaching the edge of Grindleton Forest. Be careful in Grindleton because it can be boggy! After reaching the trig point at 305m the route descends through farms and fields back into Holden.
Holden Waterfall
On your way back from the fell you may hear the sound of roaring water in Holden, and if you follow the river Holden Beck you will get a glimpse of this fantastic waterfall. It is however difficult to get to a water level.
